First day out filming :)

Well today being the first day I went out to film was pretty good. But before I went out to film I learned how to use different things on the camera like how to adjust the white balance and fix the exposure. It was also useful to find out how to frame a scene and make it look professional by not zooming in and out most of the time , because it will make the footage look unrealistic.
Here are some pictures that show how much white balance makes a difference in the quality of both filming and still images.
During the next session I also learned how to pan correctly around to different areas. If you pan to fast then from where you started to pan till where you stopped panning then everything in between will end up as a blur and also give someone a headache. Panning is to move around slowly and without shaking the camera.
After lunch we quickly learned also how to film a good still image shot and also how to hold the boom in the right position to get a good sound and also to make sure it doesn't end up on the shot.
Next I went out filming with my group. We were supposed to film each other and say why we chose CRAM Media and also what we are looking to get out of CRAM. We decided to go to the car parks and take are first shot but because of the noise of the trucks coming in to the car park and decided to relocate. Instead we went next to the field and took a shot there. Then we went and took are second shot in between the big green box. That went by quickly and only took one retake. Then we went for are third and final shot which yours truly ...me had to take the stage. After a few retakes I finally got it right and then we started messing about a bit. I mostly managed the camera in the group and only didn't use it when I had to take my shot, but i think I worked pretty good on it. It was cool and funny to film and it was interesting. Probably I would want to goof of a bit less when I'm out filming so that I could work better. That's all we did for the first day and it was really good. :D
I learned a lot of new things and hope to learn even more in the further weeks.
